Prof. Dr. Zulkarnain Muhammad Sori
Dr. Zulkarnain is a Professor (Full) of Accounting specializing in financial reporting, accounting standards, auditing, corporate governance, Islamic accounting & Shariah governance. He received his Bachelor of Accounting & Master of Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) & PhD from Cardiff University, UK. He is a Chartered Accountant (Malaysian Institute of Accountants [MIA]), a Certified Training Professional (FAA), a Certified Professional Trainer (MIM) & a Certified Trainer (HRDF).
He is actively involved in consulting, research & teaching at INCEIF/ISRA. His recent consultancy projects include Shariah assurance services, internal audit services, training of 300 members of BOD of Islamic banks & their related institutions (organized by the BNM).
He is currently serving as a member of the Standards Review Taskforce of the MQA. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (funded by Erasmus+ EU) & the Asian Accounting Finance & Business Research Unit, Cardiff University (funded by UPM).
Dr. Zulkarnain was a Council Member of the MIA (2008-2010-2012). He is currently the member of Expert Panel for the Cooperative Institute of Malaysia & the External Examiner of various Malaysian universities. Prior to joining INCEIF, he held various senior positions at UPM & Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. Currently, he is a member of the National Professor Council, an associate member of Putra Business School & a trainer for the Chartered Institute of Islamic Professionals (CIIF) and the MIA.
Dr. Zulkarnain has published extensively in academic & professional journals. His scholarly work includes publication of several books in accounting, corporate governance & finance disciplines. His book entitled ‘Contemporary Issues in Financial Reporting of Islamic Financial Institutions’ has been widely circulated & become the ‘Best Seller’ for more than 6 consecutive months. He is currently the Associate Editor of the Journal of Islamic Accounting & Business Research (Scopus Indexed/Emerald Publishing), IPN Journal of Research & Practice in Public Sector Accounting & Management (IPN/Accountant General Office) & the Journal of Muamalat and Islamic Finance Research. He was the Founding Editor and past Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Economics and Management (Scopus Indexed). He has successfully supervised more than 30 PhD theses & help students publish from the completed PhD research.

Ustaz Dr. Mazrul Shahir Md. Zuki
Mazrul Shahir Md. Zuki is Shariah Consultant at ISRA Consulting and Researcher at the International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA). Prior to joining ISRA in 2012, he has served as a consultant (learning and development) for an Islamic youth movement for Malaysian students in the UK and Eire, Arabic & Islamic Study teacher and managing Hajj pilgrimage for Tabung Haji (“TH”) and Singapore.

His significant contributions to the Islamic finance industry include an involvement in developing Shariah Policy Guidelines for Interest Schemes issued by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). Working committee (data collection) BNM Shariah Standard Commentary Books and Shariah Rules and Interpretations across Jurisdictions: Towards Greater Global Connectivity in Islamic Finance collaboration research with BNM.
He has produced several research papers and articles on Shariah and Islamic finance and actively presented and participated in local and international workshops, seminars and conferences. Several numbers of his articles have been published in international magazines such as the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) and the International Journal of Contemporary Management and Technology (IJCMT). Apart from that, his research interest is in Waqf, Zakat, Crowdfunding, Halal Industry etc.
He is also engaged closely with various stakeholders by providing Shariah advisory & consultancy services and capacity building in Islamic finance. Since July 2018, he has been appointed as a programme director for Islamic Finance for Board of Directors (IF4BOD), involving over three hundred Board of directors of Islamic Financial Institutions in Malaysia.
He used to be a member of Shariah Committee of Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF) and Shariah Advisor MIDF Amanah Asset Management Berhad and Labuan. Currently, he is an interim Chairman of Shariah Advisory Committee Member at BNP Paribas Malaysia Berhad and Labuan. He is also involved as a member of the working group code of ethics for halal practitioners under JAKIM & Standard Malaysia. Since 2019 he has been appointed as a fellowship advisory committee for Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK).

Ustaz Dr. Mohammad Mahbubi Ali
Dr. Mohammad Mahbubi Ali is an Islamic Finance Expert and shariah scholar serving a number of Islamic Banks and Research Institutions. Graduated from Tazkia Global Islamic Institute in Indonesia with a Bachelor degree in 2009, he pursued master degree at INCEIF University Malaysia and successfully completed Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) in 2011. Also, he holds a PhD of Islamic Banking and Finance fromInternational Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2017.
Dr. Mahbubi started his expertise in Islamic Finance as a researcher and research consultant in International Shariah Research Academy (ISRA) for Islamic Finance, Malaysia from 2010 until 2016. Moreover, he also joins International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia as Research Fellow and Associate Fellow from 2016 until now. In IAIS, currently, he serves as Head of Economics, Finance, Zakat and Awqaf department.
Being certified and registered as Shariah Adviser from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the central bank of Malaysia, Dr. Mahbubi serves shariah committee of Affin Islamic Bank Berhad Malaysia for more than 8 years. Currently, at Affin Islamic Bank he is the Chairman of Shariah Committee. The latest journey of his expertise in Islamic Finance is further apparent as he is appointed by Brunei Darussalam Central Bank as an Islamic Finance Expert starting from 2022.
In Academia, Dr. Mahbubi is involved in delivering lectures, training, and workshops in some Indonesian and Malaysian universities. He is a lecturer in Tazkia Global Islamic Institute in Indonesia from 2017 up to now. He delivered lectures in INCEIF University from January 2020 to June 2020. He is a visiting professor in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia from 2021 until now.
